One of the selections in the Summer Brews 10 Great Beers case brought back from the States.
Pours a clear coppery color, with a creamy, chunky 1 inch head. Has the smell of a pale ale (citrus, grapefruit, pine) but very subdued. Same story with the taste. It is all there, but just not the hoppy 'kick' that I was craving. Pleasant aftertaste of cascade hops (as per label). Medium carbonation gave an appropriate mouthfeel. Refreshing and tastey and quite drinkable, but just seems to be a little tame in the aroma and flavor. Good as it is, but average for the style. (570 characters)

Poured from a 12oz. bottle, into a pint glass. The beer poured a deep amber, forming a 1 inch head, leaving medium lacing on the glass. The aroma is of hops, with a little malt. The taste is mostly of hops, citrusy, and a little malt. Medium mouthfeel. An interesting brew. Not quite whats expected from an APA, but nonetheless, very enjoyable. Worth a try. (357 characters)

Reviewed from notes.

A - Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a very small, thin, white head. No lace to speak of.

S - It smelled of citrus and roasted malt. Some grassy/floral hop aroma, too.

T - Tastes like an average APA. Sweet caramel malt with a touch of roastiness. A citrusy hop presence with a slight grassy hop bitterness.

M - It was crisp, sharp and fairly dry. A light to medium bodied ale that is very sessionable.

D - This is an okay APA. Not going to bring a big hop punch but it is tastes good and is easy drinking. (543 characters)
