This is one of favourite beers, which I sampled widely on tap in Antwerp in 2007. I generally find Belgian Pale Ales a little heavy on the alcohol for my preference, so this beer at 5% is a real treat. A real biscuity malt flavour with a lovely ale profile (unique antwerp yeast I'm told), and a saaz hop tingle that leaves you wanting another one.
For me this beer has some mystique about it - maybe the fact that there is a real local vibe about it in Antwerp, which by the way is a great place to visit.

330 ml bottle poured into a tulip
A- Golden orange, dark, in color. Fizzy off white head. Retention is okay.
S- Very mild grain, mild wild yeast esters. Gives a sweet and tangy aroma, a little berry-like.
T- Mild grain again, with a slight berry/citrus tang in the finish.
M- Light in body, slightly dry and tangy finish.
O- Very mild, but has some really nice characteristics.
