look: 3.75 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

Appearance: Dark orange color. A finger of head on the pour which was present while drinking. Low active carbonation for the style. Sticky lacing left behind with each drink.

Smell: Orange peel, grapefruit, saturated citrus. Some lighter tropical fruits pop through with accents of mango, kiwi, and papaya. Caramel malt notes are present but this is a heavy citrus forward aroma.

Taste: Light fruits hit first on the palate with mango, tangerines, papaya, and some grassy herbal notes. Heavier orange peel, pine, and grapefruit pick up on the body. The malt profile is a medium bodied sweetness which fits well and helps even out the heavy hops. Finish is light with some lingering sweetness and a touch of piney hops.

Mouthfeel: The front and body are good and well, but the finish is slightly lacking. Carbonation is on the lower side.

Overall: A good IIPA, certainly worth a try if you see it but I wouldn't seek it out. I would certainly try other Peach Tree offerings after this well put together brew.

Appearance: Clear amber, big head.

Smell: Piney, sweet. Nice aroma.

Taste: Solid malty base gives lots of caramel sweetness. Pretty "balanced" DIPA. Piney, mildly bitter finish. A little bit of alcohol hotness.

Overall: This was getting some love on the forum so I picked up a bottle to try. Solidly decent beer, but needs a little more hop bite and a little better hiding of the alcohol to be top notch.

Picked this up for a little Friday afternoon delight. Poured out of a bottle into a stemless wine glass.

A: Super clear, nice, almost orange color. 1 finger of head, light lacing.

S: Bright, fruity, citrus.

T: Matches the smell, really nice, sweet start, fruity as well, smooth, hoppy finish.

M: Really nice, a little heavier feel, and nice and carbonated.

O. Super delicious IPA, really fantastic offering from the Knoxville gang! I'd put this up against some of the big name IPA's. If you have a chance, pick this one up!

Bought a bottle at Cyclone Liquor in Ames, Iowa on 6/6/14. Poured from a bomber into a pint glass.

A: A nice light yellowish copper.

S: Very bright and sweet.

T: Sweet. Tastes of apricot, plum?, cotton candy?

M: Carbonated perfectly. Coats the mouth very well.

O.A very good IPA. I can't compare it to anything I have ever had before. I get very serious cotton candy aromas overall. A delicious IPA that I have never tasted anything similar before. Very, very good.

Purchased from local COOP that keeps it's beer cold. Thanks for that.

Great to see Peace Tree moving away form strictly Belgian yeast based beers. I had high hopes for this beer and it did not let me down. Really solid beer. Labeled as Imperial IPA but I could go just IPA on this but hey, it tastes great why mince words.

Toppling Goliath rules the plains of Iowa but everyone should give Peace Tree some love. Solid lineup, Gold Medal Blonde Fatale, and this beer is really great and a respectable price point.
