Poured from a little grenade style bottle into a brandy snifter. Pours a little hazy orange with a thick resinous head. Smells like a citrusy grapefruit bomb went off in my nostrils. The nose is evident as soon as you open the bottle. Taste is a good balance between a light belgiany yeast, bready characteristics, and a karate chop of hops flavors. Bitterness is there, but the complexities of the belgian yeast and the copious amounts of hops makes this fun to sip and savor. This is damn good and I really hope they make this a year round offering. Right now only available in singel 12oz red stripe style bottles. I could drink a couple in a setting but at 9% it'll getcha. I would say this is the best beer currently being brewed in the state.

A rich, murky dark orange color.

Frothy off-white head with staying power; thick lacing throughout.

Great citrus nose, touch o' malt on the back end. I'm excited.

Grapefruit & apple juice taste upfront; nice malty backbone.

Thick mouthfeel.

I find that a good Belgian IPA always has a tad of an apple juice factor (see Goose Island Jinx). A bit too bitter & boozy to be exemplary, but I guarantee I'll have another sometime.

Deep amber/orange color when poured with a nice two finger light tan/off white head. Aroma is fruity with notes of grass and pine. Hops dominate the flavor, tons of citrus fruit notes and resiny hops. Some floral/grass notes and the malt is faintly apparent in the background. Hides the ABV pretty well but it is still clear this is a high ABV beer, but not in a bad way. Very smooth, almost creamy finish and medium body and carbonation. Alcohol present at the end of the swallow. A very enjoyable DIPA that I will definitely search out again.

L: Pours brilliant copper-amber crowned by a clingy 2” white to off-white foam cap S: Big grassy nose along with an array of additional hop notes – pine and citrus under the grass with some spice and biscuit.T: Very rich hop flavors. Some initial sweetness but dries out on the finish. A suspicion of mint in the finish (most likely from the hops), also pepper. There is an assertive hop bitterness but it is well balanced with all the hop flavors – the grass, the mint, citris, pine, over the malts and yeast fruit – very well done. F: Very creamy, medium to medium low carbonation, medium body, alcohol warming in the finish O: Very good handling of the hops and a very interesting result.
