A - Very hazy golden color with a medium to small, smooth, creamy, ecru colored head. Minimal lace with just a faint ring left.

S - Very nice aroma with plenty of aroma from the barrel. Vainilla, hints of oak, and a fair amount of bourbon. Some of the banana ester aroma that mixes well with the vainilla. Some sweet grainy aroma with a bit more fruity aroma.

T - Similar to the nose but the barrel is more pronounced. The base beer doesn't show up as strong as I'd like. There are traces of the fruity flavors and candi sugar/sweet pale malt from the Blonde. Fairly strong vainilla tones which are really nice with the base beer. Oak/wood is minimal. Bourbon is fairly strong with a fairly strong alcohol kick on the finish.

M - Medium body, average to slightly below average carbonation. Fairly dry.

D - The barrel is a little strong, which is nice to a point but I'd like a touch more from the base. Fair amount of vainilla which is enjoyable, but the bourbon and alcohol are a little strong for the style. I had no problem finishing the glass and could even see having a second.

Notes: Nice offering and I enjoyed it, but the barrel aging was a little strong for the base beer (Templeton barrels seem to do that sometimes to even bigger base beers though). I liked this although preferred the Templeton Red.
