Hazy reddish-copper in color with an off-white head that is fluffy and full. Retention is medium.
Citrus, pine needles, resin. Sweet melon, mandarin orange zest and light baking spice.
Mildly fruity with resin, fresh pine needles and citrus notes. Bright, high-toned hops are on full display.
Medium bodied mouthfeel that is carried through the palate by an intense hop bitterness. Everything finishes clean and dry with a moderate length to the beer.
I know its a West Coast APA, but the hops are just a little too much. Would like to see them toned down just a touch against the rest of the beer, allowing it to be a larger part of the story.

On tap at Basin 141, Montrose, CA.
Has a nice orange look with a little amber in there.
At first the odor made me feel it would be a rather weak beer, however it actually has a rather pleasant taste.
I think it would be a perfect fit for someone trying to transition into more bitter beers.

Appearance: orange in color with a 2" head that fell quickly. Spots of lace developed during the session.
Smell: orange and some grassy hop tones come through to the nose.
Taste: caramel, orange, some light earthy and grassy tones come through late. Bitterness is moderate.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lighlt crispness from start to finish.
Overall: a straight forward IPA that is easy to consume and is nicely refreshing.
