No canned on date. Why did I pick this up? Curiosity got the better if me again.
Pours a surprisingly malty caramel in color, despite being labeled as a pale ale. Honestly, tastes like a hoppy amber ale, with a sticky candied hop finish most prevalent. Middle of the road.

Poured from a bottle into a goblet
A: an aggressive pour produces a frothy white head, that does not last. Moderate lacing. Lovely golden strawberry color, a bit hazy.
S: Yeast, light grain, light floral hops, a hint of banana and apricot.
T: Balanced light malt, floral hops, a hint of citrus and banana, and yeast, with a mildly bitter finish.
M: Refreshing, delightful, outstanding. I am rating this bottle higher than my previous sample--perhaps it was the goblet that helped. One of the most enjoyable pale ales I have ever tasted. I love it!

I really enjoyed the look of this beer. Great lacing in the bottle and some left on the glass as I enjoyed the beer. It poured a nice copper color with almost a blurred look.

The smell on this beer wasn't much for me. Initially I was hit was some hops right on the nose but after a few sniffy sniffs, I caught some grain and maybe a little pine on the end.

The taste on this beer was very balanced. This beer leaves a nice bitter, hoppy taste that you would expect in any good pale ale. While the bottle talks about slightly fruity I didn't taste any fruit, however, I did take away a grainy taste at the end.

The feel on this beer was good. It hits you instantly thick and foamy and leaves that bitter, hop taste to last.

Overall, is a strong pale ale that outperformed my expectations. It's a well balanced beer that isn't overly bitter and didn't try to do too much. Sit back and enjoy a cold one while you watch the sunset over the ocean. (The sunset only felt right because the brewery is in Torrance, not too far from the beach.)
