Appearance-Red to amber with an eggshell foam that dissipates quickly.

Smell-Creamy strawberries.

Taste-Dark bitter hops to subtle tobacco and grass on the finish.

Mouthfeel-Heavy beer but a nice long finish.

Overall-I really like the evolution of flavors. The smell is great although I would've liked a little more on the nose. (332 characters)

Super tasty IIPA! The caramel malt was just the perfect amount where it was noticeable without being especially sweet. The aroma on this beer is heaven. If you haven't tried it, try it. I'll definitely be picking this up again! Cheers (239 characters)

500 ml bottle purchased from refrigerated case yesterday.

A: Pours a slightly hazy dark orange with a 1" off-white head leaving clumpy semi-rings of lace.

N: Grapefruit, tropicals (pineapple, passion fruit), tangerine. Floral and fruity.

T: Malty and pine resin with some bready and minty notes. Honey and caramel.

M: Medium body and carbonation. Sticky, resiny, slightly dry and bitter finish.

O: The aroma stands out here with amarillo, cascade and summit hops. A bit too malty on the flavor for me. (506 characters)

Poured into a pint glass.

3.75 A: Lightly hazed light orange color. Two fingers of pillowy beige head. Retention is good and a short ring of lacing is left.

3.5 S: Surprisingly spicy hoppiness. Followed by herbal and piney hops and peach and papaya fruitiness. Moderate caramel maltiness with biscuit and just a touch of bready yeastiness.

3.25 T: Tastes like it smells. Hops are - in decreasing strength - spicy, piney, herbal, citrusy. Again lots of peach fruitiness. A touch of vegetables. Caramel and biscuit malts.

3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lightly creamy and smooth.

3.25 D: Decent overall, but does have a touch of off-flavor and it pretty average otherwise. (708 characters)

Consumed June 2nd, 2013. Removed from fridge at 50 degrees F and poured into tulip glass. Label on bottle notes ABV of 8.5%, not 7.5 as beer info on BeerAdvocate shows.

Pour is a clear, dark copper that turns a vibrant orange in sunlight. A very creamy two finger off-white head forms during the pour and, after subsiding to a thin skin after awhile, provides nominal lacing.

Aroma is juicy and grassy and fruity. White grape, pineapple and touch of dank stank.

Flavor is nicely balanced and very drinkable. Some piney prickle at the beginning gives way to some light caramel malt. Well-modulated fruity and piney hop flavor comes in right before the wash of bitterness at the back of the tongue. Delicious! Did I mention balanced?

Mouthfeel is slightly thick and a little smooth. Some carbonation creaminess.

This is a good one. I'll seek it out again! Overall rating reflects a "greater than the sum of its parts" that this beer has. (942 characters)

Pours a slightly hazy cooper with nice fluffy head.

Smells of tropical fruit, pineapple with a little peach sneaking in.

The flavor is piney and fruity with mango and pineapple flavors. It's has a mild sweetness but finishes very dry without being excessively bitter. Hides its alcohol well.

Mouthfeel is light and crisp. A great summertime IIPA.

Overall I am very satisfied with this beer! By far the best LA brewed beer I have had so far! (443 characters)
