Pour into narrow tulip gives birth to bright golden body capped by an inch thick sticky white
head that slowly recedes to a stable collar.
Nose is mildly sweet Pils malt revealed by light DMS undertones reminiscent of cooked vegetables. Careful sniffing finds some faint honeyish sweetness and a tinge of spicy hop aroma.
Crispy Pils malt base and light toasty qualities of Vienna malt are followed by good amount of bittering hops replacing the sweetness and leaving woodsy notes throughout the moderately dry finish.
Medium body with excellent crispy mouthfeel.
Overall, a well balanced Heller Bock with just a tad too harsh hop-bitterness (500 ml, 07-25-2013).
