I had a 16oz tap pour at the brewery. For some reason I went into the experience with super low expectations (probably because the last few oatmeal stouts I've had were watery thin and mealy in flavor umph). I was very pleasantly surprised. The pour is a thick black, sort of a thin head, but the smell is rich creamy sweet chocolate. They nailed the mouth feel, thick and chewy! Well done team. The flavor was a syrupy sweet thickness with slight bitterness on back end. I really enjoyed this stout. Definitely give this one a try if you find yourself in Galena.

Malty, nutty, with very light chocolate. Medium bodied. Good lacing.
