Creamy honey gold pour. Very thick looking glass of beer. 1/2 finger standard cream head and great lacing.

Nose is light cream and light citrus hops. Weaker than I had hoped.

Good citrus right up front, with a smooth and sweet finish. Very creamy body, creamiest IPA I've had in a while.

Looking forward to trying this again.

I had a different experience with this IPA than the other reviewers. Perhaps it was because the beer I enjoyed was extremely fresh and just hit the tap lines that day.

Poured hazy and yellow amberish in color with a taught, white head.

Aroma was really quite pleasant. Plenty of in-your-face hop aroma with some pine and loads of citrusy notes. Even a bit of roasty grains and some breadiness as well.

The flavor was genuinely delicious. Very hoppy with the perfect amount of bitterness. Not too malty with a touch of breadiness; more roastiness than I would have liked. Solid lemon rind flavors as well.

Perhaps the recipe was retooled, but I loved this one and it was certainly my favorite of the sampler I had. The ESB, that is another thing!

Served at the brewpub from tap into a sampler shaker. Poured yellow-orange with a one finger slightly off-white head that subsided to a minimal amount quite quickly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt and citrus hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, citrus hop, and slight cream. It had a medium feel on the palate with mild carbonation. Overall this was a pretty nice IPA. It was nicely balanced and light. It was advertised at 84 IBUs but I don't think they all showed up for the party. It had a good aroma but it was fairly weak in intensity. This is a must try if you are in the area.

Growler gifted to me, one step closer to drinking an IPA from every brewery in the country that has one. Here is goes, not a great beer but it is decent. I would try it again on draft.

Beer is dark, almost brown, amber with a nice off white head, small bubbles, some lacing, moderate to low carbonation.

Aroma is earthy, piny, sweet.

Beer is medium in body, a little bitter on the end..overall a decent IPA but it is a little too bland. I don't know how to put it other than there wasn't enough of anything to be really good. More hops please, this is an IPA afterall.

On-tap at Lexington Avenue Brewery, Asheville, NC

A: The beer is clear yellowish amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that has good retention properties and hardly died down, also leaving lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste is citrusy with flavors of oranges and grapefruit and also has a light to moderate amount of carbonation.
M: IT feels medium-bodied and relatively crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a nice basic IPA and has nothing over the top in therms of hop flavors or too much bitterness.

Served on-tap at LAB (Lexington Ave Brewery) in Asheville, NC

A: Pours a relatively clear golden amber in color with light amounts of active visible carbonation near the surface of the beer and some golden yellow + apricot highlights. The beer has a half finger tall off-white head that slowly reduces to a thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer with a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of citrus/orange and citrus/grapefruit hops over a lighter aroma of caramel malts.

T: Upfront there is a light flavor of caramel malts without much associated sweetness which is followed by light to moderate flavors of citrus/orange and citrus/grapefruit hops. Light amounts of bitterness which fade pretty quickly.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.

O: An easy to drink and enjoyable simple IPA - not too aggressive in the flavors of the hops or the bitterness. Pretty well balanced.

Poured hazy amber color and smelled like yeast quite a bit. I think the beer was a little too young. I know a lot of people like IPAs very young to preserve the hop flavor but I thought this one could stand a few more weeks. Other than that, the bitterness was quit nice, and a carmel-like malt flavor was there in enough quantity to offset the bitterness. It was ok but I'd probably order something else next time.

Pretty average IPA. Nothing really stands out here to distinguish it as a top-notch IPA, but solid nonetheless.

Pours a hazy amber with very slight head. Really couldn't nail down much of a distinct hop aroma, which was a bit disappointing. The flavor was somewhat better as the body was certainly substantial with a nice hop/malt balance. Would have liked to have seen a stronger, more distinct hop presence, but still enjoyable.
