Greenlife has a very acceptable selection of beers from all over the country, in addition to quite a nice range of imported brews. Their prices and not too high, but they are a bit higher than what you will pay at other shops in the area. That being said, their selection of low alcohol beers is quite nice, and I hear that they used to do growler fills and are considering reimplementing them soon. They have a decent selection of bombers as well to round out their selection. In particular they seem to represent a good sampling of regional beers. Plus the store is immaculately maintained and the staff are quick to offer help. If you are interested in some "super beers", the Vine is in the same building and offers a very good selection of more powerful brews.

Now owned by Whole Foods, which is generally a dependable place to buy interesting beer, especially in cities without much local beer happenings. Big, clean, and pleasant place. Beer occupies a couple of shelves and a cooler.
Selection is not up to other Whole Foods locations but not bad at all for Chattanooga. Good selection of regional beers and an well-chosen random beer walk around the world. Not too many in the bomber size. Higher alcohol beers are next door in their separate wine store. If you're buying upscale food and looking for one or two interesting beers, this would be the place to go.
For walkers and conventioneers, take the #2 bus from downtown. Bikes for rent at the Trek store out by the road. Or walk over the Market Street Bridge and turn left.
