The name's inspired by the Cascade hop, of course, and this one's were grown in Yakima Valley. Hop lineup? "Cascade, Perle, Falconers. And more Cascade." Lagers aren't supposed to taste like this. At least, that's what one curmudgeonly dark corner of your head might say while the rest of you gets the hop tingles. Sudwerk's Cascaderade is a dank, juicy, generous take, while the lager fermentation means there's less fruitiness to get in the way of the Cascade additions.

This brew is an orange-ish, hazy liquid. The aroma is seriously hoppy....it is like smelling a bag of cascade hops from the local homebrew shop. It is hard to get much else. The taste is a little lightly dry balanced. Flavorful finish. Nice.

Poured out a clear, golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled piney and citrusy with toasted caramel. Bitter, piney hop bite with some citrus and sweet caramel.

Pours an effervescent honey color with 2 fingers of pearl white head. Good head retention & lacing
S: Some citrus & grass, breadyness once warm
T: Grassyness, grapefruit rind & a little aspirin up front, a little breadyness too. Grassyness & woody hops along with breadyness & pears as this warms. Finishes with grassy hops, dryness & woody hops, plus a little pine
MF: Medium body with firm carbonation, okay balance
Drinks okay, but not too impressed by this, their other IPL is much better
