Thanks to @DMcGirr - place is literally across the strret from Kedzie St exit off the Blue line at Logan Square. You won't see the tiny sign and entrance is not on Kedzie- on corner. True gem. Have a hearty breakfast that begins at 9am. Had a wild boar sloppy Joe lunch with a FFF mild ale--ok two.. Beer list is a nice blend of local/regional with lots of stuff that pairs well with food-- good dozen to choose from. It is truly so close to the blue line that you can to get off and back on and not miss a beat.
Only gave 4.5 on beer as lots of places with bigger selections but everything seemed well chosen. Whisky selection is one of the best I have seen-- esp if rye is in your wheelhouse.

Very good food, including the burger. Strong beer and spirits selection. Knowledgeable staff. Conveniently right off the blue line, making it easy to grab a quick bite on your way to or from ORD.

Longman & Eagle is one of my top places to go in Chicago for excellent food and a tap list that keeps bringing me back. Rotated options from FFF, Half Acre, Solemn Oath as well as Pipeworks NvU on tap provide fantastic opportunities to pair these class beers with the Michelin starred food. Always a pleasure to spend a few hours here, though at peak times it might take you that long to get a table. Fantastic brunch options and an eclectic crowd.

Nice laid back feel with a comic book store a few stores down if you need to kill some time before they start serving at 5PM. My wife and I got there at 4 and had a few drinks while waiting. A mix of old and young crowds we ended up in a very energetic conversation about West Wing and Battlestar Galactica. So you can find liberals and sci-fi geeks here.
The food wasn't anything special. My burger was alright but my wife who's the foodie was let down by the sear on her foie as well as a funky Twinkie dessert. She did love the marrow though.
Tap-wise it was a mix of foreign and local offerings. I had 3, 3F Pride and Joy - one for each of the Floyds.
The highlight here was the service. We sat at the bar and the bartender had plenty of time for us despite being very busy. Attentive and knowledgable as well has "seems like a nice dude"-ness.
We were letdown by L&E. The food was the least impressive of our mid-west trip and that includes a WI dive-bar, an IN brewpub and a few more less highly esteemed Chicago restaurants. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't what we were expecting from a Michelin rated pub.
