Another fine Bend establishment, right in the heart of old town, with plenty of competition. Still has a niche at the head of the high street, decent tap selection

We were looking for good brew and dinner at 7 PM on a warm July evening. We started our search at 10 Barrel Brewery and found a 2 hour wait for a table. Wow, Bend in the Summer. But Brother Jon's next door had seats at the bar available immediately, so we took them. Food was good, mid-scale pub fare, well prepared, fresh ingredients. The bar staff was right on the mark at every turn. Beer selection was all-Oregon, heavy on the locals. Had Boneyard RPM IPA and Columbia River IPA (Portland). Fresh and frothy. Like every place in Bend, the beer apparently flows so fast the lines stay clean and the rotation rapid.

Tiny little pub just down the road from Mirror Pond and 10 Barrel. Tucked in a small house, crowded, with a pretty cool vibe inside.
Quality was good. They poured mostly just high quality local stuff, RPM, Double Mountain, Bend Brewing, etc...
Service was pretty good, our server was friendly and prompt, but it did take longer than usual to get our food out to us.
Selection was 10 taps with a decent variety.
Food was pretty standard pub grub. I enjoyed my burger (which was huge), but I did not think it was as good as others led me to believe.
Prices were fair.
Overall, a pretty nice spot in Bend for a bite and a beer. However, with all the other great choices in town, I'm not sure I'll be in a rush to go back.

Loved it. Family friendly. Nice selection of Bend/local/OR beers (liked that that they had 2 from Double Mountain on tap). Waitress provided nice sample selection from what they had on tap. Sandwiches were very good. We had the french dip and the cheese steak. Bread made them...Kids selection was good/basic. Plates going out to other customers looked very good as well. Tried several beers from Bend including 2 from Boneyard.
Service was prompt and ver friendly - also not rushed even though we arrived just at start of lunch rush.
Will come back on my next trip to Bend.

Brother Jon's...the latest greatest in the Bend pub scene! These guys have got it figured out when it comes to running a pub, great tap list, great food, and great atmostphere! The atmosphere is pretty chill, a few pictures on the walls and a few flatscreens to keep the sports nuts happy. The bar is small with only 6-8 stools, and the place overall isn't all that big, but they are talking expansion already. They have 9 taps right now and they like to rotate them fairly often which is a good thing IMO, always stop in to see whats new, and they have a habit of choosing solid selections for taps. The guys behind the bar know their stuff and do a good job keeping it relaxed while being knowledgeable. The food is pretty solid as well, great sandwiches and solid pub food at the right price. This is one of my favorites in Bend these days!

A true locals hangout, it's a converted house on Bend's westside, tucked in a bit back from the road.
Checked them out the first week they opened and held back on my review to let them get their feet on the ground.
Visited on what I assumed was a boring Wednesday night, but the place was paaaacked. Grabbed the last table, which was shared with the wife and a friend. Waitress came up and took our beer orders quickly. My two favorites on the menu were an IPA and IRA from HUB and Double Mountain respectfully. Beer was perfect, service was good, food was also standout.
You do not need to be a local to enjoy Brother Jon's. You'll get the friendly Bend vibe no matter where you're from.
Prices were okay. The interior could use some more work. Bland beige abound. A cluster of bright track-lighting shone down on us, irradiating my tender eyes and skin. They need to replace those suckers with some nice dim mood lighting, way to harsh.
Aesthetics aside, I don't think this place will disappoint anyone looking for good NW beer, good pub food, and friendly service.
