The bar in the taproom was built from wood donated by people in the area.
A lot of the regulars are cooks, chefs, organic gardeners, and just all around cool people.
This *is* a People's brewing company. They listen to and love their customers. They love what they do. It shows all through their beers.
Their beers range from the hoppy-but-balanced Mound Builder IPA, to the rich and malty Mr. Brown. My favorites are Mr. Brown, Newman's ESB and Maltster (a very early offering).
The atmosphere is sometimes very laid back and chatty, and sometimes a bit crowded! Their taproom seats probably, hm, less than 30 well-acquainted folks, but it doesn't stop us locals from stopping in often for pints and growler fills.
I hope, truly hope, that they keep growing in popularity. I'd love everyone to enjoy the same excellent quality beer that I do week after week.

What can I say about my local Brewery? (Well, one of, anyway - we have 2!). People's taproom rocks. Their beers are always kick-ass, and no matter what flavor profile I'm in the mood for, they have something to fit the bill. The staff, from Sean to Danyel to Abel and the rest, are always friendly and awesome. The other patrons are always fun to talk to, too.
We're usually in 2 or more times per week for a pint.
Can't wait to see People's expand and such. Hopefully they'll move into brewpub territory someday... :)

Great place to drink a beer. Small tasting room with a beautiful bar and a few tables. Behind the bar is a huge window looking at the brewhouse. The staff is very friendly and will answer any question you ask. The bar fills up with great beer conversation and great pints. Be sure though, they do not serve food. Its a microbrewery, not a brew pub. Big brewhouse with free tours upon request. The only problem with their 6 tap bar is there is only 6 taps. They really need more! Great flagship, seasonal, and small batch beer!

I'm glad I only live about 90 minutes away from Lafayette, because I found one of my favorite little tap rooms in People's Brewing Company.
This place is located just a tad outside of the lively area in Downtown Lafayette, so it definitely stands distinctly on its own in this way. From the outside it just looks like a converted warehouse and has an inviting, painted People's logo that covers an entire receiving door.
Inside is a compact tap room that is peppered just right with all sorts of People's-related goodies. The rotating selection had 12 taps on hand when we visited, featuring a variety of awesome brews. I'm a little biased because this has been one of my favorite breweries for the past couple of years, but I think most any craft beer lover would enjoy their time spent here.
The bartender during our visit was easily one of the best we've ever had anywhere. She was passionate about their beer, had a great sense of humor, and constantly kept us fresh on pints/half-pints/growlers all afternoon. Phenomenal service.
The only slight knock I could place on the selection was that nothing over 7% ABV was available. I was a little surprised to not see something like Space Cowboy, Hop Killa, etc. This is only a small gripe, though.
We will be back here every time we stop in Lafayette.

Loved this place! Really great service and a good selection of their beers(12 taps 2 on nitro) made this one of my favorite brewpubs that I have visited in Indiana. The prices are also awesome, pints for 3.50 all the time! Definitely recommend stopping by here if you find yourself in Lafayette.

I love people's brewing! located on north 9th street in lafayette and not easy to find. it's a garage door painted with their logo that you have to do a U turn just to get to. haha, all part of the experience. I live very close so I just ride my bike. It's like 5 bar stools and a bartender so you just have to drink and talk about beer, my two favorite things. no food, just peanuts. they have a pilsner(which is my go to session), aberrant amber, mound builder IPA, newman's ESB, maltster, LayFlatter lager, hopkilla(sometimes), and mr.Brown....mmmm mr. brown. their prices are great too. 2.50 pints on thursday and 6 dollar, that's right, $6 growler refills on wednesday. free tours whenever you want and the place smells like malted barley. YOU CAN'T BUY THAT KIND OF AMBIANCE! wahoo beer!

Local Microbrewery that I love to frequent.
Atmosphere- Great setting. Somewhat difficult to find and not a lot of parking making it more enchanting and the free tours make you bask in the ambiance of a profitable microbrewery. When the patio door opens it's great to sit out and get the natural light and a great tasting brew. Also have great music from local artists on a weekly basis.
Quality- All the beers are great and they have a $6 sample flight that gives you a nice tasting of there year-rounds. I usually get there special like an IIPA or a RIS which are usually great change of pace from their delightful regular lineup.
Service- Great service. There is only a handful of servers and if you get on their good-side they will treat you great every time.
Selection- The rotating selection and high demand make getting a pint an adventure every time I go in. With 2 six-pack selections or a growler of any of there 9-12 different taps makes a selection a somewhat daunting task.
No food but that's not an issue for a great microbrewery.
The value is great with growlers for less that $16 and a pint for $3.50 you can't beat it.
I strongly recommend tracking down the brewery if you're in Lafayette, IN because you won't be disappointed.

One of The best things about living in the middle of nowhere,Indiana is being able to go get beer here.
The beer is awesome, inspiring an overwhelming feeling of reverence & admiration.
The atmosphere is one of cosmic bliss.
Went in today & they had some 72' grateful dead playing on the sound system-they usually have Bob Dylan or some old school blues playin' when i go in early on Wednesdays & that is always nice too.
Great job People's Beer! keep it up! please.

People's is right down the street from my apartment and I go there a lot after work for a quick pint. There selection of beers isn't huge, but it is a very small brewery and what they do have I like quite a bit, especially on Wednesdays when growlers are $2 off. The brewery does not have a pub, but the tasting room is big enough for about 30-40 people and they are cool with bringing food in since they don't serve any. Overall, if you are in Lafayette stop by and have a drink, you will probably enjoy it.
