Golden pour with a ridiculously large head. Nose shows tropical fruits in abundance: mango, lychees, paw-paw and peaches. Also present is loads of caramel and brown sugar. Very sweet. Flavours include more caramel along with some toasty malt, peaches and mango. A very mild bitterness follows in the finish. Carbonation is stupidly high, and seems to fill your whole mouth. Other than that this is pretty good.

Very pleased to see dgilks classified this as a lager, not an ale. Despite what it says on the label (Pale Ale), surely fermenting it with a lager yeast makes it a lager (QED)?

Whatever it is, it pours a slightly hazed burnished bronzey orange colour, with a frothy and voluminously gushing head of off-white. Minimal lacing, and little body, which probably explains it. Lots of carbonation.

Nose is mildly fruity, with some sulphurous overtones and a husky grain note. What fruit is there is quite crisp and sharp, almost tending to an underripe or vegetative character. Certainly more of a nose I expect on a pils than on a pale ale.

Taste is crisp and clean, with minimal body, and not a huge deal of flavour either. What remains is a slight pilsenery grain note with a slight touch of crisp bitterness on the back that almost grates into the territory of solvent. It's crisp though, and pleasant enough, without having a huge amount of interest.

It's not a bad brew all up. It's drinkable enough, but the thinness on the palate and the crisp grain and residual bitterness in the flavour really belies the ruse that this is a pale ale.

This brew pours a hazy golden orange hue with average carbonation that leaves behind a one finger frothy head that doesnt last long and leaves a rim of lacing, the smell is a mix of orange rind, mandarins, grapefruit and sticky toffee,it has a light semi sticky averagely carbonated mouthfeel and has tastes of grapefruit, mandarins, boiled candy, honey marmalade and finshed with a citrus, hoppy light bitterness and overall its not bad but not great and im also a little confused about the classing of this brew listed here as it clearly states on the bottle it is a pale ale anyways ive had better.

They call this a Pale Ale but it is fermented as a lager and is probably closest to a New World Pilsener.

Pours a straw colour with a massive, off white head. Head retention is okay.

The aroma is of light hops with some citrus highlights. There is a little bit of mustiness and a hint of tart pineapple.

The flavours are dominated by an incredibly high carbonation which makes it difficult to get through. I get some nice soft malts with a crisp finish. The beer has a few esters which are okay and the hops add a nice, fruity, grassy note.

The mouthfeel is horrible. While the lightish body is perfectly acceptable, the carbonation is way too high and destroys this beer creating an attack on the tongue which is unpleasant.

Overall it is an okay beer. The flavours aren't bad but it is let down by the mouthfeel which makes it somewhat unpleasant and difficult to drink.
