On tap at the Mayor of Old Town Fort collins, the staff is hyping this one up a little bit, stating it is the best IPA they have on tap. Better check it out.
Smells like a citrus bomb, surprisingly is not as malty as the majority of the big double IPA's I have been drinking lately. I appreciate that.
Tastes like a balanced Double IPA, some nice hop citrus bitterness balanced with a pale malt malt bill. Pretty tasty stuff, and I am starting to agree with the staff. You can tell this beer is fresh, none of the hops have faded!
Finishes with a nice citrus bitterness, leaving me wanting more.

I do not know how to modify the main description above. However, this is a DOUBLE IPA and has an abv of 9.0% per the blackboard listing at the brewery.
Pours amber orange with a short white head.
This smells and tastes like a sweeter Russian River Blind Pig. There is a big hop, big malt character all around. Nose is sweet cooked pineapple that is assertively sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium/full and very well balanced.
Flavors follow nose with a big bitter but sweet hop front that goes to a big sweet malt mid palate and then back to a sweet big bitter finish.
There is a nice malt/hop balance; this is a big fruity malty hoppy brew worthy of tasting. A bit sweet for my taste but a well made beer.

On tap at the Rackhouse Pub in Denver. Poured from the tap a clear dark amber color with just a bit of off-white head. Some hoppy aromas and a bit of citrus on the nose. A decent malt body helps to support the juicy hop flavors. A decent effort at best.

Poured a golden yellow with a white head. Aroma was malty, offered some cracker and a hint of toffee, with some pine and a little citrus. Flavor was a malt base of some sweet biscuit and diacetyl, some pine and citrus from the hops. Medium bodied, active. Overall, a little bit underwhelmed by this one.

Enjoyed at Backcountry Pizza in Nederland, CO. Pours a light amber with a beige head. Nose has freah floral hops and candy malts. Taste is a bit off. Hops seems stale and the malts are quiet grassy. Medium body is a bit over carbonated. Decent American IPA.

On-tap at Freshcraft in Denver. Served in a 10oz Nonic.
A: Slightly hazy amber with light carbonation. A rocky and dense cream tinged cap falls fairly quickly to a thin film. Leaves substantial lace.
S: Very floral, with lots of citrus in the nose. Grapefruit and lemon are there in equal force. Letting the nose linger reveals some brown sugar.
T: Hop flavor is strong and dominating, but the bitterness isn't too over the top. The hop aromas carry into the flavor nicely. A very light caramel malt flavor can be tasted way in the background. Finishes with a long lingering citrus bite.
M: The body is oily and has just about the right level of fizz.
D: This is a nice, if fairly standard tasting DIPA. I liked that a heavy hop flavor was achieved without an out of control level of bitterness. An overall solid effort.

this is a great all organic double ipa. it pous a clear golden color more orange than yellow, with a lacey white head. smells like fresh hops, very light malts for such a big ipa, and alcohol, especially as it warms. flavor is nice, grassy hops, pine resins, and more bitter hop flavors all come out at once. more balanced that expected, with a slightly sweet malt body that stands up plenty well to the bold hop flavors. feel is interesting, its much lighter in feel than most double india pales ive had, very very drinkable. lighter body, average carbonation. overall its good not great double ipa, but bonus points for being organic, and bonus points for the artwork associated with this beer, very cool stuff at asher.
