This was on nitro tap at Main Street Brewery. On the menu it said On Nitro.
Appearance- amber color, nice half inch head
Smell- sweet malt
Taste- sweet malt and some hops
Mouthfeel- medium bodied
Drinkability- I thought this was very good. There is definitely a difference between nitro and tap that you can see. Very nice.

On tap at Main Street on 7/14/09, although this was billed as a DIPA on the board.
A - Hazy amber/orange body with rocky one-finger off-white head that settled into a quarter inch of creamy retention and deposited tons of thick, sticky lace on the glass.
S - Aroma is surprisingly muted with only a bit of burnt, sugary caramel malt and some fruity, citrusy hops. Some subtle alcohol notes also emerged.
T - Tasty but pretty non-descript hop profile with traces of citrus and herbal notes, but ultimately fairly muttled and difficult to discern. Malt is pretty sweet with hints of caramel and toffee as well as some toasted grains in the backend. Finishes with a touch of alcohol warmth.
M - Medium body with creamy texture and smooth mouthfeel. Carbonation is quite lively with some mild prickle on the tongue. Moderate hop bitterness and slight alcohol sting on the palate in the finish.
D - More of a straight-up IPA overall. Hoppy, yes, but doesn't really go beyond the norm. With that said, it probably falls more into the Strong Ale realm than DIPA.

This arrived as a dark amber and brown with a medium head. It's leaving a fair amount of lace.
Some biscuit flavor comes through in the smell. Up front, the taste brings malty biscuit flavors, which give way to a modest hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium while drinkability is pretty good.
Somewhat plain, but well done.

It poured a dark reddish brown, with a lot of light brown head and loads of lace. The smell was a mixture of roasted malts and hops. The taste was of roasted malts and hops mixed with a sort of creamy texture. The after taste was very strong at first, but after awhile, the taste of the palate was pleasant. Sort of creamy and roasty, if you know what I mean!
