Appearence: Pours a cloudy light copperish orange with a thin, fomay off-white head.
Smell: The smell is a nice mix of fruits, tiny bit of hops, and a strong alcoholic bite.
Taste and Mouthfeel: The taste is quite enjoayble. It has a mix of fruitiness and some sour notes, mixed with a little bit of sweet malty goodness, hop bitterness, and a huge alcoholic presence. The alcohol is a bit too strong and adds a little too much spice. Other than that, tastes good. The mouthfeel is full but a little bit cloying.
Drinkability and Overall: Not the most drinkable beer given the alcohol feel, but still a tasty, well crafted brew. Unibroue never fails to impress me, thought not all their beers are as groundbreaking as the others. Like this one. It's a great beer, but not earth-shatteringly original. Try it.

750ml bottle cellared on it's side.
Pours cloudy amber with barely a trace of head and zero retention. Cloves, apple, and raisins in the nose. Medium bodied with a slickish mouthfeel. Sweet malt with shades of raisins and spice. Finishes with fading raisins and spice.
Not terrible for a beer almost 15 years old but it was never exceptional when it was young.

Bottle shared by Todd last night.
Slightly hazy copper brown color with a smallish head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is filled with overpowering spices atop a faint brown sugary caramel malt base. The flavor is not a bit different. Medium to thick body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet spicy mouthfeel. Not bad for a ten year old beer, but too heavy on the spicing for my tastes.

Sample: 1 bottle 2004
A: Burnt orange in color, cloudy throughout, pours with no head, no lacing, no internal carbonation, certainly a few years peaked
S: Moderately fragrant with a rather fruity aroma, apple juice comes to mind, some pepper and herbal elements exist as well, quite yeasty
T: Flavor is incredibly subdued, fruity and yeasty, but missing something, very slight alcohol but almost not even present, definitely a shell of what this ale used to be
M: Like drinking juice, amazingly drinkable, like water on the palate, extremely mild fruity aftertaste, not lingering or drying
O: Unfortunately this beer has seen better days and peaked a couple years ago, but an interesting experience needless to say, unbeatable mouthfeel given it abv

Thanks to jjfoodie for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the Belgian yeast, with some wheat and assorted spices thrown in. The flavor is similar, with a strong yeast component. I also get some nice pepper and spice notes, as well as some floral and rose notes. All of this is mixed in with some biscuit and wheat notes, as well as a good dose of alcohol, Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
