I could only find this beer in a large 750 ml bottle with a champagne like wire capped cork with a best before date on the back lable. It poured a cloudy peach color rather than a balck currant color with a huge creamy white head that dissipated quickly and left no lacing on my glass.
The smell was absolutely heavenly. It was all black currant but subtle rather than heavy or sweet.
There was not as much fruit taste in here as the smell would indicate. This beer is nothing like the lambic fruit beers of Belgium that I have tried. It turns out to be a very dry, wheaty, and malty brew with a minimum of fruit and a maximum of carbonation. The black currant taste is there but it is subdued and remains as a background flavor. I would not consider this beer sweet at all. Since it came in such a big bottle I saved some to let it warm a bit to see if the flavor was enhanced as it warmed, but this was one beer I prefered colder rather than closer to room temperature.
With it's super high carbonation it felt more like a champagne than a beer, but it's biggest surprise was the dry mouthfeel. Once you swallow there are no lingering tastes or aftertastes. It's not what I expected from a fruit beer, but overall I thought it was good. I liked it better than the apple flavored Ephemere.

A: Pink. A very unique color that I've never seen in a beer before. Tiny white head on the top throughout.
S: Berries! Blueberries, boysenberries, raspberries, blackberries. Smells like a berry lollipop.
T: Sweet berries on the front end, finishing out with some lemon peel and coriander. Finishes very sour.
M: Super bubbly. Champagne type bubbles.
O: A very unique beer, very fruity and unique. Will seek out again.
