12. oz bottle poured into a tulip glass
A- Pours a very dark brown with a 1 finger head that dissapates into a thin haze.
S- Licorice, grapes, brown sugar, and cloves come through fairly strong.
T- A warming mix of licorice, malt sweetness, and spiciness from the yeast dominate and come together nicely. A slight fruity aftertaste.
M- I think a thicker body would have accompanied the warming flavors a little better. A bit too bubbly.
O- A very nice beer, and something I would enjoy on a much colder day. (Reviewing in summertime!)
