Poured from a 750 mL corked & caged bottle into Duvel tulip. Moderate hand. BB 03-15-16.
A: Cloudy, golden yellow body. 1+ finger of white head with ok retention. Light lacing.
S: Fruity Belgian yeast with a touch of funk. A smorgasbord of fresh fruit notes, including peach, apricot, pear, berry, pineapple, banana and orange. Coriander and light clove. Vanilla. Black & white pepper. Biscuit. Something new every time you put your nose in the glass.
T: Slightly spicy, fruit-forward opening. Leads into a mild balancing hop and a fairly dry finish. Spice and carbonation tingle linger in the aftertaste along with fruit and pepper. Bold, robust flavor.
M: Crisp with a moderate to high carbonation. Moderate body with a creamy, yet effervescent feel.
O: Tripel meets wit. New layers of flavors and scents arise with each trip to the glass. Really meshed well with some spicy pork chili. Can't say it's the best tripel that I've ever had, but I'm very hard pressed to name one better out of North America.

A smooth, drinkable beer that has a fruity flavor and pleasant aftertaste. The beer is high in alcohol, but upon drinking it, you don't really taste due to its fruitiness. A pleasant beer to drink once in a while, but it's not a brew to drink on a regular basis.

This beer goes down smooth and tastes fantastic. The alcohol is hidden well, but watch out the 9% will sneak up on you after you have had a couple. Florida has recently started stocking this beer at the regular sales locations and I recommend it to any beer lover. Good for most all pallets.
