This beer reminds me how one's palate can change. The first time I had this one I absolutely hated it. I was used to english and german style sessionable brews, and this tasted like gasoline to me at the time. Now- a much different story.
La Fin Du Monde pours a light amber with a pure white head. Lots of small bubbles rise from the glass. The smell is of candy sugar and some fruit flavors.
The taste brings candy sugar, exotic fruits, and a hint of alcohol heat. There are a lot of layers to this beer that changes as it warms. Peppery flavors swirl throughout along with some spice.
A regular in my beer fridge, and another reason Unibroue is such an incredible brewery.
