I got this 12 oz. bottle as a single at Union Jack's on the Manatawny. I drank it in a goblet. Best Before date of 05-19-08(!) on the label. YAY!
Pours a slightly hazy yellow/gold with a huge 2" head of white foam. Carbonation looks very active. The head falls to a good coating and a ring, with excellent lacing.
Aroma is a complex combination of pils malt, yeast, cloves, nutmeg, and lemons. Smells are inviting. After several minutes, the smell is very clean, spicy, and citrusy.
Flavor is pils malt, spices like above, lemons, yeast, tart and delish. Alcohol warmth sneaks through very slightly as it warms. Residual sweetness is low to medium. Aftertaste is long citrus and pils malt. This has a great aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is clean and crisp, light to medium bodied, with sparkling carbonation. Alcohol warmth is very well hidden. This feels good on your tongue. Great burps! Finish is on the dry side.
This might sound dumb, but I could drink this all day. (Well, at least until I passed out!). This is delicious, complex, crisp, delicate and robust at the same time. Highly recommended.
