Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Unibroue tulip glass...Hazy amber yellow color with a full white cappuccino like head that rose just out of the glass, good head retention and a water lace that follows the beer as it moves in the glass. Oh yeah...lots of bubbles.
S- Tart citrus(orange, lemon, grapefruit), light white candy sugars, and slight bit of spice(almost orange peel or lemon peel and a corriander like a white beer, but not as potent in the spice department...very refreshing effect).
T- Slightly tart citrusy hops in the forefront of the sip....smooth slightly sweet body...sugars definitely seem to be present(I hate to compare with in the style, but not nearly as sweet as La Chouffe)...a bit of orange an spice near the finish, and a long dry slightly alcoholic finish.
M/D- Very light on the pallet, lots of bubbles, and smooth....Easy to drink, with the alcohol hidden well....A great beer to turn people on to Belgians with...easy to see why it is rated in the top of its style....again I really should have started drinking Unibroue a long time ago...great beer at great prices.
