750 mL bottle split into two wine glasses.

A: Nice golden yellow-orange with three fingers off white head (even on a pretty gentle pour). Good lacing.

N: Lots of belgian spice: hay, bubble gum, clove. Pretty good nose for a general beer, average for a belgian-style.

T: very good, complex belgian. Some citrusy spice, pepper, yeast, and a faint hint of alcohol.

M: pretty crisp, definitely good, can feel a bit of alcohol which would be expected at 9%.

O: a great belgian-style. I would recommend this beer, though personally would choose something different in the future for myself: I think Allagash Tripel and Curieux are both similar and better than La Fin Du Monde. It's a well made belgian style beer, however, and I'm very happy to have enjoyed it. I have another that I'll plan to age to see how it does.

A- Depending on the light it's color ranges from pineapple juice to having hints of amber orange to it. 1-2 finger head the lingers briefly. White foam head.

S- Dark fruit with a yeasty bread quality. Very clean smell. Cloves and a touch of alcohol. A touch of citrus fruits.

T- The cloves really come through on this one. It has a spicy feel to it. Has a good balance between the malt and the hops, neither really comes across as the winner.

M- It really dries out the mouth. The spice to it leaves you with the feeling you get when you inhale after eating a breath mint. Your tongue feels cooler immediately. Leaves a filmy feeling on your tongue too. Kind of grainy.

O- OK beer for me but not my top choice. would prefer more malt.

Forgot to flip the bottle over (to agitate yeast) before pouring, but I did a swirl halfway down and poured the yeast in as you're supposed to. Relatively aggressive pour (deliberate) yields a massive white head that sticks around nicely. Hazy goldenrod body and nice lace.

Lovely fruity nose, lots of tart apple and yeast.

That fruit sticks around-- dang, it's been too long since I've ahd one of these. Apple, white-raisiny grape-- it's almost like juice but dries out at the finish.

Mouthfeel has a bit of fizz, but once you get into it, it's hefeweizen-level thick. The soul of a tripel and the body of a weizen? You can have both (think a Belgian Aventinus).

A magnificent tripel, and one of my personal benchmarks of the style. I think I've had this bottle a while (in the fridge albeit), and it still drinks great. Can't help but wonder what actual cellaring would do for it. Easily classable with tripels twice the price.

Poured into a snifter.

Appearance. Cloudy golden yellow in color. Pours with 3 fingers of head which slowly dissipates to a layer on top of the beer. Lacing is great and sticks around for a while.

Smell. Filled with cloves and some floral notes. Sweet white grapes are there as well. Tons of yeasty esters.

Taste. Starts out with a dry grapey and floral flavor. Grape like sweetness builds, as does a clove like flavor. Some nice spice starts to make its way in with the cloves. The finish is sweet and nutty.

Mouthfeel. Huge amount of carbonation gives a frothy feel to this moderate bodied beer.

You can't really beat this one for the price. One of my favorite tripels outright. A real standby beer.

This is a very complex brew. It pours a light golden brown hue with a good 1 1/2 head. The alcohol is prevalent and wow does it pop. Not as easy drinking of a brew so if you are new to belgian pales or triples please sip. Other than that the brew is great and even better on a nice cool winter night. I highly recommend.

Poured from 12oz bottle into maudite snifter.

A- Pours a hazy golden straw color with one finger head that stays around.

S- Peppery, fruity, belgian yeast smell and some malt shines through. Very complex and appealing.

T- Banana, cloves, pepper, some lemon, pale malt. Delicious.

M- Very nicely carbonated. Effervescent.

O- One of my favorite beers in one of my favorite styles. Never disappoints.
