A: Poured from a 750ml corked bottle into a Chimay chalice. Beautifully vibrant copper-orange in color with a crisp 2-finger frothy off-white head. Hazy and very effervescent in texture.
S: Pleasant and fruity in aroma, with notes of orange, spices, a touch of banana and some flowers mixed in. Light, pleasant, and rich.
T: Spicy up-front, sweet in the middle, and a bit boozy on the swallow. Notes of cloves, bananas, orange peel, rose petals, vanilla, a touch of sourness and some esters of alcohol at the end. Well-balanced and full of flavor without an overpowering single flavor. Clearly crafted lovingly.
M: There is a bubbly, frothy up-front feel, with a Creamy, full-bodied middle, and a hot syrupy swallow. The head stays throughout and helps provide a nice feel. There is a definite alcoholic hotness on the swallow with a sticky linger.
O: A tremendously well-crafted beer with clear tripel style and a balanced approach. A true tribute to the style.
