A: Poured into a goblet. Appears a hazy golden orange color with a large white head that settles and leaves a fine layer of foam on top. Can see a ton of tiny bubbles rushing to the surface in the light.

S: Fruit (banana and pear), honey, spice and alcohol. Think there's some floral hops in there too.

T: Mirrors the smell but with more complexities, banana, pear and strawberry-like fruitiness followed by a big punch of sweet and earthy spice. Floral, honey-like hoppiness is nice in the snappy, dry finish. Sweet and spicy residuals coat the mouth.

M: Medium body with an incredibly lively carbonation. Almost perfect.

O: Excellent.

Poured into my trusty highball from the bottle with dinner.

Appearance: I don't know if the fridge conked out or something, but there was an enormous amount of foam with this beer, even when poured sideways. When the head finally dissipated, leaving nice lacing, it was golden at the edges and a dark straw at the centre, and more than a bit cloudy.

Smell: smoky and quite spicy, which was unusual, faint sweet and fruity notes.

Moutfeel: a perfect balance of thickness and fizz, it goes down very well.

Taste: it delivers on the promises its smell makes, with a nice piquance in front and not excessively hoppy. It finishes a bit citrusy, and malty. Very interesting, and very smooth for its alcohol content (9%)

Drinkability: it goes down well without offending the senses, and while it is not to my usual taste, it is quite nice, with a pleasant buzz to boot.

2012 bottle poured into a chalice.

Cloudy golden pour, 3 inch cream head, good lacing.Reminds me very much of other Unibroue brews in smell (and taste) smell of almond, pear, raisin. Taste much the same, light creamy, flavorful, amazing mouthfeel. Probably the most 'easy' of all the unibroue's in terms of drinkability and find-ability. Highly recommended.

This is a great, easy drinking tripel. It is complex and well made and is something I should buy more often.

It produces a nice head and great lace. There is a reasonable amount of haziness and little or no sedement (unexpected).

The taste is very light for such a big beer. The aftertaste is the highpoint - wonderful. I would like the beer if it were more tart, but I like it the way it is just fine as well. Recommended!

Orange with a huge head. Good retention and solid lacing.

Smells a lot like banana, maybe too much so. Sweet malts and a bit of spice/pepper.

Taste is bold and comples, but finishes with the distinct banana flavor. Has that typical Unibroue yeast flavor. Alcohol isn't completely hidden but it is balanced well in the flavor profile.

High carbonation, crisp and solid mouthfeel.

After trying many other Triples I came back to La Fin Du Monde and remembered why it was so highly rated. There aren't many tripels made outside of Belgium that are this good, maybe none.

A: beautiful cloudy straw orange color with a towering nearly white head that has great retention.

S: coriander, slight pepper, citrus

T: sweet malt, orange, coriander, and slight peppery flavor

M: great amount of carbonation that gives a light feeling rather than a harsh force carbonation. Medium body on this is still pretty heavy feeling, but it becomes lighter as it warms.

O: very good tripel, but I am just about done with spice as I've had a lot of spiced beers in the last couple of days. Will come back to it, but I don't think it's quite on par with the trappist versions.
