A: Light cloudy dark yellow or very light orange in color, with a nice gentle foamy head that very slowly dissipates, leaving behind perfectly beautiful lacing.

S: Spicy yeast, a bit of fruit - sourdough. Banana bread. Complex nose here.

T: Sweet and spicy, with a hint of whipped lemon meringue. Yeast, sourdough bread. Loads of complexity here - every sip is different and grows on the last one.

M: It looks light, but still waters run deep. It has a distinctive whipped quality that makes it feel almost like you're drinking cream or meringue. It's frothy and smooth with just a slight alcohol bite - but really the 9% ABV is hidden so expertly here that you hardly notice it at all.

O: What can I say, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this beer, at all. It is incredible. True to its ominous name, if the end of the world were truly upon us, this is the beer I'd want to be drinking when it all went down.

This beer is a cloudy yellow/orange with a tiny thin white head.

The smell is sweet, cloves, banana and bubble gum. Pretty subtle though.

The taste is sweet and heavy on the cloves with a bitter after taste.

The mouth feel is quite thick and creamy with a medium level of carbonation.

This is a really good beer, the alcohol is well hidden and is very drinkable.

Poured into Newcastle glass finger head hazy yelloworange color. Nice lacing that fades
Real fruity with all kinds of things going through nose. alcohol in smell but not noticeable in taste. Spicy in nose and taste, rounds out with yeasty aftertaste. High Carb pops hops in mouth and swallowing keeps taste in mouth for days. Overall a delicious triple offering from Canada with great burps!!

Bottle to pint glass (leaving yeast sediment behind)

A: Light Golden color with medium haziness. Pours one finger of thick white head with great Belgian style lacing.

S: Very complex aroma, mainly characterized by spicy phenols and fruity esters: a great combination of pepper, citrus, cloves, and some bananas.
A soft alcohol smell is hardly noticeable but still present.

T: Very yeasty, biscuity, and malty sweet flavor (perhaps some candi sugar). Begins with cloves and citrus, already present in the aroma, and finishes dry with some moderate hop bitterness.
The alcohol is well hidden and only noticeable by a warm feeling in the throat.

M: Medium bodied beer with high effervescent carbonation.

O: An excellent beer. This is probably one of the best examples of non-Belgian tripel I've ever tried. The hidden alcohol taste makes this beer highly drinkable: a lovely marriage of complexity and drinkability.
If you loved this beer, I suggest you try the Dragonmead Final Absolution as well (similar in style, quality, and provenience).
