Poured into perfect pint glass. Best before date of 3/8/14

A - Deep straw golden color. Pours a big off-white head with medium sized bubbles that receed to a nice cap of foam.

S - Has a great lemon zest smell to it. Some quieter spicy phonolic notes. Mild candy sweetness. The alcohol becomes aparent after the beer warms.

T - A little bit of lemon citrus comes across right away but begins to be sugary sweet. Finishes a little alcoholic but is hidden well throughout. Also a pretty dry finish.

M - Hits the heavy side of medium for body and has a nice prickly medium to high carbonation.

O - I enjoyed this beer alot. I tend to shy away from tripels, am usually not a fan but I have enjoyed this over other tripels I have had.

A: unfiltered creamy butter with hint of orange. 1 finger white head dissipated quickly.

S: Belgian yeast. No fruity esters. Slight banana.

T: Tastes like a really nice Belgian ale? Good. Alcohol is extremely hidden. Balanced.

M: Spot on and crisp finish. Cleanses palate but not spicy.

O: Great balanced hi octane Belgian style strong ale. Really well hidden booze makes this an easy drinker but will cloud judgements 3 times as fast.

22 oz bottle, cork and cage, date code on bottle but undecipherable, purchased 7/2011 from a reputable bottle shop and well stored in temperature controlled conditions since.

Poured into a Duvel Tulip Signature Glass.

Pours a nice frothy one finger head, which slowly reduces to a thin cap which lasts.
Beautiful straw color, with very lively carbonation, small bubbles stream from the bottom of the glass.

The aroma first hits you with very refined and classy yeast, followed by some very light citrus and even fainter malt. After warming some orange peel and coriander come forward. While very enjoyable the smell could use a little more intensity.

Crisp delicious entry on the palate of yeast and toasty malt. Very refined, elegant flavors that remind one of champagne. Orange peel and banana flavors and a slight hoppyness develop as this ale warms. Medium full mouth feel with a wonderfully refreshing carbonation.

Good finish of citrus, yeast, and light hop/malt.

This is undeniably delicious ale, but after having their Trois Pistoles which blew me away, this leaves me a little underwhelmed.
That being said this is an excellent Triple, with very refined aromas and flavors. Excellent balance and skillfully brewed. The 9% ABV is never even remotely noticeable.

A: Deep gold with a white head. Excellent formation and retention. some lacing remains.

S: Bold aroma profile--yeasty and fruity, with scents of orange peel and some spiceyness as well. there is a nice mellow sweet fruity toffee aroma as well that is very good.

T: Banana, pears, clove, lemon grass. Wheaty malt holds strong before drying out on the finish. Mild hops provide a spicy grass character

M: Smooth and easy to drink with only moderate carbonation

O: My favorite tripel by far, don't know why it took my so long to try this brew but I'm glad I did. It's awesome that it's so easy to get too!

pours a very very pale golden color with lots of visible carbonation and some cloudiness. Big bright white head is active at the top of the glass.

Nose consists of lots of spicy clove and bubble gum as well as some sweet cereal malts. Smell is heavenly actually.

Extremely clean and full bodied. Flavors are very well blended so hard to pin point. There's definitely a big spicy clove presence on the front end of the tongue. Tingly after taste, effervescent. The flavors keep escaping me but probably because of how clean of a brew this is. Your tongue feels like it's gone through work out after a sip that's for sure and not in a bad way.

I dont know what it is about this beer. It's just a really solid drinker.
