Poured from a bottle with a best by date of 10/19/15; into a tulip.
Appearance - golden, hazy brew with a champagne-like amount of bubbles! Huge cloud of white head that leaves very nice rings of lacing!
Smell - sweet citrus fruit, with a lean towards more lemon and orange zest. The yeast strain is faint, but noticeably present.
Taste - oh my! This is phenomenal! Unbelievably easy to drink at 9% ABV and the sweetness from the nose is very well hidden, making this a smooth drink that is hard to put down!
Feel - almost starts off too light and bubbly, but finishes off smooth and balanced! May I have another!
Overall - much better than I expected, and I had high expectations! This is not a style I typically seek out, but this brew has given me new appreciation!

look: 4.5 | smell: 4.75 | taste: 4.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 4.5

Poured into a snifter from the 12 oz. bottle.

Best before 1/25/15.

a: Lighter golden with minimal head and some some patchy lacing.

s: Complex, fruity, almost like Chardonnay.

t: Apple, and Grape flavors with some cinnamon and clove spiciness on the front of the tongue. Dry winey finish. Syrupy, but not in an unpleasant way.

m: Big and heavily carbonated,(small champagne like bubbles).

o: Very nice, complex beer. A little syrupy to be an everyday drinker for my taste. Excellent beer and definitely worth seeking out.

look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.5

Poured from a 25.4 oz/750ml corked bottle.

APPEARANCE: Hazy, yellow and bubbly. There is a half finger head initially and very little lacing, the head dissipates after a few minutes.

SMELL: reminded me of champagne, apples/pears and peppery.

TASTE: In a word complex. Citrus and fruity with taste of pears and banana, yeast and pepper, the alcohol is present but very well hidden. The hops are subtle and in balance with malt.

PALATE: Sticky, medium bodied, effervescent.

OVERALL: I truly enjoyed this beer and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys the tripel style. I salute Unibroue for making a delicious beer and selling it at a reasonable price and for offering in a 4 pack or 25.4 oz bottle option. This brewery makes excellent beer and apparently has an outstanding sales/marketing department too. I can't wait to try more of your beers!
