Before anything else can be established about this seasonal fruit ale the aroma envelops you and the room as soon as the cork is popped, like a gleeful genie escaping its bottle (or the winsome nymph that graces the label). Sweet, tart nose of apple, hints of spice, intense at first but it mellows out soon enough. A light bubbly straw colour, chunky white foam head thanks to the bottle conditioning, although no real lacing to speak of. Taste of apple is predominant of course, like a fruit version of Blanche de Chambly, very smooth although mildly acidic due to the apple must presence. A very pleasing experience, although I could only handle one or two a year, which suits this as a seasonal just fine.
A bottle has already been put away to age a bit.

A: Pours a hazy medium yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and some golden apricot + brassy highlights. The beer has a half finger tall fizzy foamy off-white head that reduces to a small patch of thin film and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of crisp slightly sweet green apples over the top of hints of pale malts and just a touch of spicy Belgian yeast.
T: Upfront there is a light flavor of pale malts with moderate flavors of both sweet and tart green apples. Light distinctive flavors of Belgian yeast adding a hint of fruitiness and spices. Minimal amounts of bitterness in the finish which fades very quickly.
M: Light bodied with heavy amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp.
O: Refreshing and easy to drink - a very nice beer for a hot summer day.
