Poured from a 32oz growler picked up a few hours ago into a goose island flute(?).
A - a honey color much darker in the center and a lighter tint along the sides of the glass. Had nice steady and even champagne like carbonation that continued long after the pour. Initially had a nice frothy head which eventually died down.
S - Yowza! Apple (duh), pears, and that candy-like unibroue yeast only FAR sweeter. This is quite possibly the sweetest smelling beer I've ever sniffed.
T - The taste isn't nearly as sweet as the nose suggests. Sort of like a fermented apple juice. Not as tangy and wine-cooler like as some other vegetable beers I've had. A bit sour, seems like it is missing something. Kind of like when you drink a flat soda and it is missing that spark...this beer is like that if you were to compare it to a great tasting apple juice. Albeit this is not apple juice...just very similar, but missing the sweetness of a great glass of applejuice. I enjoyed it and would drink this again.
M - Very smooth and even. Like a fermented apple juice. Pretty refreshing and a touch sour. A bit watery and flat feeling in the mouth dept...seems like it is missing something to make it phenomenal.
D - I could drink this one all day, especially in the warm summer months. Really easy to drink. This could be a good candidate to bring to a dinner party where there aren't a lot of beer drinkers.
