750ml bottle served in 16oz pint glass.

Pours a hazy light orange, with a pillowy white head. Very witbier like.

Smell is huge green apple, it fills the room. When I lean in for a closer smell, a bit of clean malt is evident.

Taste is also very clean, slighty sour, green apples. It almost seems artificial (jollyranchers come to mind). Malt is even less evident, but it is there and is quite soft. Finish is the classic unibroue spicy yeast, though it seems rather subdued compared to their typical offerings.

Mouthfeel is light, though creamy smooth. Carries the flavours well and is refreshing.

Drinkability is average. How much belgian-apple-beer can a person drink?

Interesting enough to try, but this 750ml bottle would have been more appropriate for sharing. Pretty good for a fruit beer though.

A: Pours a hazy medium yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and some golden apricot + brassy highlights. The beer has a half finger tall fizzy foamy off-white head that reduces to a small patch of thin film and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of crisp slightly sweet green apples over the top of hints of pale malts and just a touch of spicy Belgian yeast.

T: Upfront there is a light flavor of pale malts with moderate flavors of both sweet and tart green apples. Light distinctive flavors of Belgian yeast adding a hint of fruitiness and spices. Minimal amounts of bitterness in the finish which fades very quickly.

M: Light bodied with heavy amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp.

O: Refreshing and easy to drink - a very nice beer for a hot summer day.
