16 oz pour into pint glass at the Great Lost Bear in Portland, ME.
A: Pours an opaque, dirty and dull yellow with straw highlights. Little to no head.
S: Cinnamon, apple clove , crayon, yeast, chemicals. Very Yankee candle like, and almost fake smelling. Still, smells pretty damn good in a weird, almost embarrassing way.
T: Bubblegum sweetness up front, followed by a somewhat sour apple. Very sweet; like an apple-flavored lolly pop. Some spice, but not as apparent as in the nose.
M: Moderate carbonation; thin, watery mouthfeel.
O: I dunno. I've had this beer a few times and enjoyed it far more than I am right now; this keg could be a bit off, hence the $2.99 special price. It just tastes like sugar, which I'm not in the mood for right now. Certainly not one of my favorite Unibroue beers ever, but especially off-tasting right now.

A- Golden yellow brew, with a white head, some lacing.
S - Sour fruit and sugar, a la sweet tarts, with some vegetal notes.
T - Apple, probably mostly crisp green apple, flavor is forward. Mild yeast and spice notes, but primarily fruit.
M - Crisp, clean, drinkable.
O - Nothing wrong here, just not terribly interesting. I love green apples, and apple beer seems like a good idea, but this is fairly plain.

Poured from a bottle. Has a white-yellow color, like white grape juice, and a very healthy white foam. Smells like sour fruit, not unpleasant but not great. The flavor is more complex. The apple is most dominant but isn’t overpowering. The beer is more dry than sweet, even a little tart. Has a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is a little lacking in some regards but the beer is still pretty enjoyable.
