A: Clear amber pour. Tall, light and fizzy white head. Head fades slowly with good retention, oddly enough there is no lacing.
S: Sweet citrus and melon. Yeasty with cloves. Has a real sugary aroma to it, typical belgian candi sugar IMO. Hint of apple when swirled.
T: Fruity up front once again. Sugary citrus, melons and again apple. A bunch of banana joins it now. Lots of apple in the middle. Mild yeasty bread in the finish with some spices backing it up. Cloves for sure with more banana in the aftertaste.
M: Medium bodied and nicely smooth.
O: Despite Unibroue's general popularity I've never been a huge fan of their beers. This one is different however. A very fruity and crisp BSPA. Sugary sweet in all the right ways with just enough spicy belgian yeast to mix it up and balance it out. Easy drinking. Very nice.
