A: Hazy, mustardy gold color...not quite amber but perhaps getting close. I get a pretty fizzy 2 finger white head which very quickly fades into almost nothing. Some tiny bubbles rise from the bottom of the glass.
S: The first whiff really reminds me of spiced apple cider. I definitely get some cloves and coriander, and maybe just a touch of hops. Plenty of frutiness with apples and a touch of peach.
T: Spices are quite prominent in the taste, particularly coriander. I still get a little hint of apple but it's less prominent. The end is a bit bitter, I definitely taste some hops in this brew.
MF: Thin body but very prickly on the tongue. Maybe a bit too much for my taste, although fairly par for the course for the style. Warming and alcohol feel is fairly strong. Very dry, almost harsh finish...each sip leaves you needing more.
D: This is quite a nice beer, certainly on par with other good examples of the style. I feel like the carbonation and acidity of the mouthfeel detract from the flavor a bit, but it's still tasty. A refreshing brew for a summer day.
