Bright golden in the long Stella goblet. Pleasant foam which subsides into a champagne appearance in the glass. Very sprightly on the tongue. Aroma is woody and honey-like.

Full of intriguing flavors. Starts with some mellow malts and banana, but moves into bright and sharp flavors. Some sweetness in the initial taste. Very interesting for seeming to be brewed without any detectable hops. Quite yeasty with just a little of the Belgian bitterness. Certainly nothing like you'd find in a Saison.

Thoroughly intense in the classic Unibroue style. Complex and totally drinkable, sip by pensive sip. From a 12 oz bottle.

Light orange in color and hazy. Thick head that fades pretty quickly. Leaves some lacing.

Fresh citric and yeast aroma.

Flavor is bright and fresh with lemon and orange yest, fresh wheat bread and yeast. Semi-assertive hop. Hint of coriander. Perfect balance. Alcohol is almost indetectable.

Medium bodied and drying in the finish from the alcohol. Sharp, snappy carbonation. Smooth, creamy texture.

Great beer! Exceptional flavor and highly refreshing.

12oz bottle (best by 10/13/2014) into a tulip. Pours a hazy golden color w/ a 1-finger white head.

Aroma is Belgian yeast, spice, bananas, pale malt, and clean water.

Taste follows nose. Just a really nice mellow blend of earth, spice, bready malt, and fruit. Some nice hoppy bitterness in there too.

Mouthfeel is velvety smooth, semi-dry finish. Drinkable, refreshing.

Overall another solid beer from Unibroue.

12 oz bottle, best by 10/26/14.

A gentle pour into a tulip yielded 3 fingers of billowing, fluffy white head. The body of this beer is a cloudy, very actively bubbly golden straw color. The head has really nice retention, actually, but doesn't quite cling to the glass like you may expect.

First up, you smell the yeast. A little funky, a little spicy. Wheat, coriander, and a little bit of lemon zest.

The taste is where Don de Dieu really shines. Full bodied, crisp, wheat and refined citrus. A great banana sweetness, artfully balanced by grassy, prickly spice, and an almost imperceptible alcohol warmth. The mouthfeel is refreshing, and while crisp, it also manages to find just the right way to coat the mouth.

Top notch BSPA from Unibroue. Can't wait to try the Fin du Monde as well. Maybe Canada isn't so bad after all.

1 pt 9.4 fl oz brown glass bottle served in a generic weizen glass, reviewed live:

A - Pours a cloudy, honey yellow golden color with a dense, white, rocky head of 6 fingers, even after a gentle side pour. Retention is absurdly good given the high ABV. Very appealing.

S - Sweet lemon, coriander, clove, biscuity yeast, crisp wheat, white pepper, and butter. Moderate in strength and nicely complex.

T - There are almost too many subtle flavors/esters to identify. Pepper, banana, clove, lemon, orange, butter, and yeast all work throughout. The flavors work well over the light body. It's well balanced and none of the ABV shows at all. It manages to be fruity without being sweet, and spicy without being overbearing. Well done.

M - Light bodied, though it's a bit thicker and more smooth than I'd like.

D - Incredibly well built, very high quality, and very affordable. It's one I'll definitely have again.

1157th Review on BA
Bottle to GI Chalice

App- A hazy mix of yellow and gold. A small one finger head that was almost white in color was formed and then fell to a pond layer.

Smell- The yeast is the first thing I get and then moves to a wheat, lemon, spicy type of note. Its a very small BSPA but Unibroue does things right.

Taste- Opens with a small bit of wheat and then moves to that yeasty flavor that I love. A subdued spice note comes next with a small lemon flavor.

Mouth- Really impressive mouthfeel on this one. The yeast is leaving a crisp, creamy, biting flavor all at the same time. A light medium body with a low medium carbonation.

Drink- Ill drink anything Unibroue does. One of the bests in doing BSPA, BSDAs and Tripels.
