Cloudy orange colour. Very lively pour. The nose is lightly fruity if not reminiscent of weiss beer (ie. banana & glove). Also a light mouthfeel and again fruity hints highlighted by banana, lemon & apple. A good tartness on the finish. Quite enjoyable.

The body is a hazy yellow-gold, and fast rising tiny bubbles support a frothy bright-white head that holds exceptionally well and maintains a creamy 1/2'" throughout the glass. Lacing is somewhat limited, but occasional streaks and alot of spottiness do catch the eye. The bouquet expresses a gentle fruitiness and some mildly sweet malt. It's light bodied with a natural, delicate but effervescent carbonation that's crisp in the mouth. The flavor displays some yeasty fruitiness atop a thin, well-attenuated and lightly sweet and mildly fruity malt (apples, some background berry and gentle citrus). It's hard to tell if there's some wheat in there, or if it's the yeast; but it does have a slight acidic tang. And it's very nicely balanced with underlying bitterness allowing the natural acidity and crisp carbonation to be the backbone. Finishes dry. It's quite delicate, really enjoyable, and nicely refreshing. A beautiful beer that's quite attractive served in a flute or other tall-thin glass. It makes an excellent apertif, and would also be a great after-dinner drink on a warm summer night outside. Worth trying. I enjoyed this original version much more than the newer versions with fruit must added.

I've been a fan of the Unibroue selections since my first La Fin du monde and this one does not disappoint. Tried as part of a choose your own flight at the Flying Saucer. Very light in color with hints of citrus and berry. Easy enough to down, but not a session beer. A little too much on the sweet side. Taste of alcohol limited.

The pour on this was alright in appearance with a pale golden color, and a frothy white head.
The nose presents a very fruity apple smell similar to a freshly cut granny smith apple.
The taste was a bit to sweet and overpowering for me, but has alot of layers of fruitiness.
The tap handle lured me in, and the name intrigued me, but this isn't a beer I would try again.
Definitely a sipping beer.

Pourred a light reddish brew with a beige head with good retention. Smell of sweet fruit and light spice. Very refreshing taste with hard to describe fruity taste (maybe orange or lemon...) Good body. Overall, another great fruit beer from Unibroue!!!

Pours golden color with a fizzy head that dissapates in a minute or two. This beer is a cross between a cider and an ale.

The smell is wonderful. When you smell it you think it is going to be extremely sweet. It almost smells like apple candy. The taste is very different. It tastes very mellow, and is does not taste very prominate in anything. Good beer, but I'd just rather drink a Magner's cider and not have the beer subtle overtones.

Pours out amber with a nice bright white head. Sweet, yet not overloaded with sugar. This is a fruity tasting beer, but I can't quite get at a specific fruit flavor unlike the other Ephemere brews which put it right in your face. Not overly complex. Good carbination in the mouthfeel which helps with the dry finish. Makes you want another sip.

Pours a hazy brown, small white head diminishes pretty quick, although sticks around, not much lacing. Smell is malty, with some citrus and yeast, spices. Taste is very malty, this is an old bottle so the malt has really come through, a lot of light fruit and citrus zest. Mouthfeel is low body, with medium carbonation. Not bad, too bad I didn't try while fresh but it has aged pretty well.

Had this brew on tap, it was poured to a pale yellow color with golden highlights. Had a nice sized white head that had nice retention and broke down slowly leaving a good amount of lacing throughout. The aromas of this brew seem to have a fruit like essence, had to pinpoint the exact fruits but I thing I can notice both lemon and orange. Also can notice a yeast like aroma that reminds me of a Belgian. The taste is very nice, yeast is the first thing that I notice which seems to lend it self to the fruit like flavors. These fruit like flavors seem to be very similar to what I expected from the aroma. Over all this is a very nice brew, very refreshing. Would be a nice brew to have during the warmer months IMO.

Ephemere pours a bright orangish amber with a fizzy white head tha falls to a thin foam leaving slippery lacing in it's wake.

Aroma is fruity as is expected from a fruit beer, smelling of currants and lemon.

Flavor is a tart mix of currant juice, coriander, orange, lemon and a biscuity malt. Bitterness is very low but tartness/sourness takes it's place in balancing the sweetness from the malt. Yeast males an appearance too with peppery/fruity esters as well.

Mouthfeel is light, with a rather aggressive amount of carbonation, not too much to be considered harsh however.

Overall a very nice fruit based beer, should be very pleasing to the wine crowd and one of the better fruit beers I've had.
