a = A very lovely apricot orange color, slightly clouded. A rosy short-lived head that dissipates to a thin film on the top, some lacing.

S = Pleasant, light fruits and yeast.

T = Cherries are present, but not predominant. Tart, not sweet. Also, some spiciness.

M = Light and bright, respectable amount of carbonation.

O = To me, the overall profile of this ale is almost like a pilsner, if that's even possible. The fruit and spices adds intrigue to the flavor. It would make a wonderful summer sipping beer, or pair it with a nice chicken dish any time of year instead of a white wine. Dare I suggest you even serve it with the right dessert?

This cherry version of Ephemere is a sort of blood orange nearly red color with a thickness. It has a wispy nearly white film of head that sits as a foam that leaves a bit of thinnish lace on the glass.
The cherry's here in no small order, a nice mix of tart and sweet mingling with pale malts, wheaty in nature, and unoffensive yeasty note, and a gently peppery note.
The flavor's got a nice, tart cherry bite too. Sweetness gives way to the tart taste while giving a little balance to it. The yest brings gentle peppery spice and a touch of earthy funk. Malts lay it all on top with an overlying crackery note.
This beer is crisp, with a hard bite in the medium body. Smoothness isn't full, but it isn't completely sacrificed either.

750ml, standard caged and corked bottle. This one sort of flew into Alberta under the radar of late, kind of replacing the Cassis version on the shelves. Oh well, still nice to see something new from this brewer.

This beer pours a hazy, medium pinkish-orange amber hue, with three flabby fingers of super-fine puffy, foamy pink-tinted white head, which leaves little beyond a few skinny swaths of sea-spray lace around the glass as it evenly dissipates.

It smells of sweetly tart mushed cherries, grainy pale malt, a bit of spiced (i.e. cinnamon and/or cloves) applesauce, and earthy, somewhat zingy Belgian-esque yeast. The taste is semi-sweet, somewhat neutered cherry juice, soft lemon and apple fruit esters, a hint of low-key earthy, funky yeast, dutiful bready, lightly grainy pale malt, and an ephemeral (sorry!) dank savoury spiciness.

The carbonation is light, frilly, and fairly frothy, the body on the far side of medium weight, and generally smooth. It finishes on the tempered sweet side, the cherry and other muddled fruit just chillin', the yeast in an agreeable holding pattern, and the malt forgotten, but not gone.

A decent cherry-accented pale Belgian ale, rather easy to drink on one of the sunniest and hottest days of the year. More complex than just that, I know, but that's merely an added bonus.

A - copper with a hint of red, slightly pink head is creamy and held nicely
S - sour cherry with a very strong medicine like aroma, light grains
T - sour cherry with a mineral or medicine twang, a little soapy on the finish
M - creamy and well carbonated, slightly sour but smooth finish
O - nice enough but something about it just isn't as nice as previous ephrmere offerings, but Unibroue is always worth a try

Bottle: Poured a light reddish color ale with a medium foamy head with light retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of fake cherry with syrup notes and light sweet malt notes. Taste is mostly dominated by fake cherry notes with some overly sweet notes with weird malty notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Overly sweet and too much fake fruity notes to be really enjoyable.

On tap at The Old Toad in Rochester, NY.

Pours a hazy orange, with a pinkish hue. No head, really, and a little bit of lacing.

Smells like wheat, cherries, and Belgian yeast.

The taste is similar. Luckily, this stays un-cloying. Slightly tart and acidic cherry flavor, but mostly sweet. The cherry sort of drowns out the underlying witbier here.

Light bodied, crisp mouthfeel, well carbonated.

A nice little fruit beer, nothing amazing, but tasty nonetheless.

Smells great, just a hint of cherry promising balance and summer styled spiced ale goodness. Taste delivers, manages to avoid the overly syrupy / cherry halls cough drop bent that makes cherry flavoured ales so hard to enjoy. Mouthfeel is smooth and carbonation is pleasing. Overall a nice addition to the fruit beers you can use as a gateway beer for friends. Bottle came with a card around the neck suggesting cocktail recipes using the Ephemere Cherry (Mojito and Cola).
