This lovely ale pours a hazy amber with a thick white head into my tulip glass. Smells boldly of burnt brown sugar, candied fruits, apricots, orange peel, caramel and coriander. Tastes just as it smells. Big sugary notes balanced by a faint bitterness. Caramel, candied fruits, pineapple and spices are present throughout the taste. Mouthfeel is thick and smooth. I frickin love this ale. I have a bottle I plan on aging as well.

A - clear bubbly copper, tower of tan head held endlessly
S - yeasty esters of sour peach and herbs, leafy, and a bubblegum hint
T - leafy green and mild citrus hops meld well with yeasty esters, touches of mint bubble gum, cracker grain malt
M - light with creamy carbonation, crisp and clean all the way through with a minerally dryness on the finish
O - this is enjoyable to drink, so fresh and clean that it leaves you thirsty and satisfied in a great way

Purchased at the LCBO for around $7.00 for a 750ml bottle. Served at 4deg C in a draught glass.
A- Opens well. Pours with a nice white 3" thick head that lasts and lasts. Dark gold almost amber color.
S- Caramel and yeast. Not much else but that is pretty good considering that we are speaking of just 2 ingredients.
T- Open and light. Almost a white hint. Enjoyable and refreshing. Not like the higher alcohol suggests.
M- Very good. Dry and light kind of like a white beer. Noir de Chambly is similar
O- Very good. Enjoyable blend of ale and white
This hybrid beer went well with... Pizza! This time was hot peppers, green olives, pineapple and pepperoni

Bottle: Poured a red colored beer with a huge head with excellent retention. Carbonation is perfect with lots of bubbles coming back on top minutes after the beer was poured. Aroma is comprised of a very enticing mix of spice and some sweet fruit such as orange. Wow, this one really does it for me and it’s a shame that this brewery was bought by Sleeman and those are the last bottle we will see.
