Since Born Yesterday is bottled and shipped the very same day—probably the freshest Fresh Hop ale you'll get your paws on—the arrival date is kinda in the air 'til things get closer and nature says so. Kinda like a fresh lil' newborn, only this puppy is made from whole-cone, un-kilned Mosaic, Equinox, Citra, Simcoe and Amarillo hops from our farmer friends in Yakima, WA. It's borning soon. Wanna be the first to know when? You've gotta guess first …

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed golden amber color with a small head of white foam. The head has a low level of retention, fading and leaving just a trace of lace on ths sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is quite strong of a bready and cracker malt aroma mixed with a big showing of orange and grapefruit. Along with these smells comes some peach and apricot as well as some nice fresh herbal and pine aromas.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and slightly grainy base malt flavor that is matched with a bit of orange and a big grapefruit hop taste. There are other hop flavors of an herbal and pine nature, with all hop tastes having a vibrant green taste. As the taste advances the sweetness increases a bit with more orange being joined by apricot and grape. Toward the end of the taste transition, a bit of hay joins in, and with a spike in the herbal hop, one is left with a malty but fresh taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess as well as more moderate in nature with respects to its carbonation level. For the style and the flavors, the feel is nice and makes for an easy sipper.
Overall – A rather nice brew overall, with a decent fresh hopped-up taste. Would certainly visit again.

Clean, citrusy with an incredible nose. Glad that it returned (2023).

Fruity, big citrus notes coming through, wonderful transition to a clean finish. By far the best hoppy beer lagunitas has done. Only bad note is for god's sake get a new design for your bottles, the new one for this is awful.

Hazy golden color with a modest but lasting white head and bits of decent lacing.
The aroma is citrus and pine resin.
The taste is mildly sweet tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, passion fruit and light caramel malt. The finish is dry with lingering grapefruit zest and pine.
The body is medium, lively carbonation, fairly soft and smooth, very drinkable.
Altogether, this is an excellent, hoppy, flavorful and refreshing brew, should go well with spicy foods or just anytime for the enjoyment.

Pours clear yellow with plenty of foam in the Copper Kettle goblet. Massive fragrance of mixed citrus with apple and pear and resiny nose. Lively and tangy on the tongue. Very fruity stuff with a zing of fermenting pineapple. Citrus peel finish. It's like no other fresh hop brew that I can remember. This is quite interesting and highly sippable. From the 12 oz bottle purchased in the far Northwest.

Excellent fresh hop brew!!! Poured from a stubby, brown 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass, this beer featured a hazy gold color and a smallish foamy white head with very good retention. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste are wonderful. Resinous fresh piney hops with some dankness and a tobacco/nicotine like flavor predominate. The bitterness level is very good. Mouthfeel is bright, resinous and crisp. Bitterness is spot on but there is no harshness. This is one of the best examples of a fresh hop beer I have had.

12 oz bottle with a tiny date stamped 10/02/23 into a nonic pint glass.
L: Pours apricot gold with a 1/4" off white rocky head, light carbonation, good head retention, random skeletal lacing.
S: Pine resin, citrus, very distant sulfur, dank hop notes.
T: Citrus, orange, tangerine, melon, citrus zest, a touch of yeast, hop funk, caramel malts, prevalent complex hoppy cone dankness. It is moderately sweet with dank hops in the long finish.
F: Brisk medium-bodied semi-soft feel with a medium-length finish. Then there's a lull, and a second wave and reflection of tastes. It is slightly juicy, lightly sticky and has a long, moderately dry finish.
O: Very fresh tasting, enthusiastic and hop forward. Whole hop cone tastes right down to the pollen. Has two waves of tastes and a very long lingering finish. Its appearance and ABV are more akin to it being a NEIPA. I give it 5 out of 10 on the Dank-O-Meter. Nevertheless it is world-class in its style.
