Poured from a 12 fl oz's bottle "...of hops, malt, hops, hops, yeast, hops, water, and hops" into a pint glass.
Appearance: Nice golden color with a thick, doughy white head. Aggressive carbonation activity.
Smell: Muted metallic hop and bread aroma.
Taste: Again, relatively muted for a DIPA. The taste is fine, just not very aggressive for the style. Very malty in my opinion. A decent "liquid bread" vibe to the taste.
Mouthfeel: Appropriately carbonated and overall a very refreshing mouthfeel.
Overall: Not sure how this fits into the DIPA category. Maximus is much tamer than many standard IPAs I have tasted. Not bad, per se, just tame.
