Serving: A 22 oz twist top bottle poured hard into a large mug at 45-50 degrees F.
Appearance: Very decent 4 finger head. Awesome lacing stratified waves. A light amber / copper color very clear.
Smell: Sweet hops rule yeast follows. Grapefruit, pine, orange peel, some alcohol. Aromatic and comforting.
Taste: Label says 72.41 I.B.U.s and 7.5% ABV. A nice hoppy inital assaut followed by sweet malt. A slightly bitter orange peel like after taste that makes you pucker. If you like hop bitterness you should try this.
Mouthfeel: Blam Pow! Pucker up! Nice bitterness from the hops. Medium light body, & foamy.
Drinkability: Great if you are a hop head like me. Cheese and fresh bread makes this brew very enjoyable. I had it with an extra sharp vermont cheddar cheese and loved it. If your not crazy about bitter beer then make sure you serve with food.
Overall: This beer is full of a bitter strain of hops but with minimum amounts of other strains including mild & aromatic floral styles. This brew is nicely balanced with sweet malts. I enjoyed this nice creation from Lagunitas in the lovely Sonoma Co. CA. It currently only costs $3.99 in Va. and is more than worth the price.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass at around 45°F
Appearance: Medium orange-ish gold color and because of an aggressive pour, an enormous off white head, which quickly dissipated.
Smell: Tropical fruits, pine, along with some spice that I can't put my finger on.
Taste: Tropical fruits and pine balanced with sweet malts. A bit too sweet for my liking, and the flavors are mild for what I prefer in a DIPA.
Mouthfeel: Medium body; Smooth and easy drinking for 8.2%. Not much bitterness
Overall: I prefer more body and character for the style. A mellow DIPA to be sure. I prefer Hop Stoopid in every aspect, but if Im in the mood for a sweet and lighter tasting double, ill grab this one.
