Brilliant amber in color with excellent clarity. A quarter inch of white head is visible. Brussels lacing. A powerful aroma of citrus hops greets my nose. Mango and pineapple notes are distinct. The citrus hops are fairly bitter on the front of the palate. There's plenty of light malt to back it up,but in the fade the hops make their presence known. The mouth is a bit sticky and chalky.

12oz bottle into snifter

A: Brew holds a hazy brandy color that is slightly copper in the right light. Standard pour generates a one-finger head with little lacing, retention was moderate to weak - Light is able to pass through the elixir, but is in no way translucent.

S: Creamy mango and pineapple aroma, with benevolent peach overtones. Syrup style sugar cane gives the nose a pleasant sweetness that is quite powerful. The sugary esters are almost gelatinous in nature, mixing in light notes of apricot and mandarin orange. Very nice

T: The nose in liquid form, lots of mango up front, producing a full juicy flavor. Aside from a pungent mango, many of the juicy notes blend into a unified sweetness, putting more of an emphasis on well-balanced malt. The malt presence reveals a bit of a bready caramel while flushing out somewhat of a lemon peel zest. Very toned down resinous hop character allows the more luscious elements to dominate the palate. Pinesap, candied tropical fruit, morning dew, and rock candy - The finish ever so malty and rich - The overall flavor is best described as nectar.

M: Just right, medium bodied with medium to light carbonation. Good balance. Very drinkable and pretty light on the aftertaste

O: Fusion of flavors I look for in a DIPA, juicy and sweet. Very similar to Long Trail’s Limbo. Very enjoyable beer, one of the best I’ve had from Lagunitas. Excellent balance, excellent drinkability. I’ll be drinking this more often.
