A - Poured into a tulip glass. Blackness. Almost no head, just some lacing around the edge.
S - Rich smelling malt. Molasses and chocolate
T - Unlike any other stout I have had. Malt sweetness like a doppelbock, but it is roasted malt. Cherry, alcohol, cocoa powder and ends with a slight bitterness. Very heavy.
M - Syrupy, thick body, low carbonation.
D - Maybe I've been missing out on the stouts that are like this one... or this one is in its own league. Either way, it is good but it is not what I know to be a stout. Consider me educated. Try it, just be prepared for a different stout.
