2oz bottle poured into a Tulip Glass.

Pours a dark black with a foamy mocha head that settles to a thin ring and slight haze. Big aromas of dark roasted malt, berry jam, and chocolate. Taste is quite smooth, with more flavors of malt, chocolate, coffee, molasses, and dark berries. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, with a full body and lowish carbonation. Overall a solid RIS, very drinkable despite the ABV, and very affordable!

No freshness dating on the bottle indicated.

A= Pours a thin looking almost brown color with a coca cola like head that never really forms into a head and really doesn't even make a skin on the top. The lacing is nonexistant because the head is nonexistant. It should be noted that unlike most imperial stouts this beer is translucent

S= This beer smells sort of like warm tootsie rolls. There isn't even much or a smell. Really weak on the front. A little chocolate in the nose as well as a little toffee I guess but nothing really heavy.

T= The taste is weak as well. Not much to it really. Actually tastes like a regular stout without the imperial punch. The alcohol is hidden as well making this most curious. Toffee and a little chocolate note in it. Nothing really crazy or interesting.

M= The mouth is terribly thin and weak.

O= Really disappointed in this beer. I typically love all things Lagunitas but this is a weak imperial stout. No real smell or taste or even weight on it. There are much better regularly avalible RIS out there.
