Oh Yeah!!! This is a good strong tasting barleywine, as pronounced as raw Bigfoot but with different flavors. Pours a cloudy iced tea orange/brown color with a good size off white head. Head retention is good for this level abv, slowly fades to a top covering of the glass. Smell is strong caramel malt and either vanilla or just the alcohol.
Taste is strong caramel malt, sugar and dark fruit. There is no hoppy pine or citrus taste.
Mouthfeel is as rich as a good Belgian without the candi sugar and spices. Smooth, potent and rich.
Drinkability is good. The rich flavor and mouthfeel would be worth the effect of drinking the whole bottle myself. Very nice.

2011 keg. 32oz growler fill from Green's PG, poured into a Conquest snifter.
A: Pours a slightly hazy, rich auburn body, with a half-inch of beige head. The head dissipates to just a ring, but laces through the life of the beer.
S: Caramel, and a lot of pine. Way more pine than I would have expected for a 3-4 year old beer.
T: The hops are not as bitter as might be expected from a fresh American barleywine, but they still take center stage here. Lots of pine, then caramel, followed by a little dark fruit mingling with pine again in the finish.
M: Big, lush, without being syrupy.
O: This is a really good, still hoppy barleywine after all these years. It reminds me of how Old Ruffian ages--very well.
