S: Not very intense. Mostly blandly sweet cereal grains with a light wiff of mossy hops and minerals.
T: Fairly sweet and flabby. Quite sweet, bland cereal grain character. Hops are a bit herbal, but have a dank, dark character. Bitterness shows up late to the party and doesn't really balance the sweetness, leaving this pils flabby. When the bitterness does show up its far from crisp, not very intense, yet is still rough and unpleasant. Finish has a hop character that is mossy, dark, and unpleasant. Mouthfeel is fairly thick and drinkability on this is very low.
Note: A dud from a brewer I enjoy very much.

Bottle at the Mundelein beer tasting. Clear and yellow with a thin head and brisk carbonation. The smell is super-light-- maybe some light malts, but no Saaz (or any other) hops.
Someone put a Michelob in my pilsner bottle.
Tastes like an all-malt pale lager, and not a very good one. There is no Czech pilsner character at all.
Mouthfeel is thin and highly carbonated. Drinks like a macro.
Not a great style example and not a great beer.

This is a disappoing and unpleasant pilsner with an almost tasteless, rough bitterness completely dominating most of it after the first sip.
Golden and a bit bubbly, it has a thin white head that dissipates fast to leave a weak ring and practically no lace.
The aroma is somewhat mild yet pretty good, flowery with toasted grain/crackers and fruity hops with hints of citrus and pine.
Taste is decent at first, being both sweet and slightly bitter, with light toasted grain and hops that have mostly a faint pine-lemon pulp taste. Thus far, it's ok, but even so nothing special or particularly interesting and is a bit bland. It gets worse and ends up very bland yuet roughly bitter with little actual flavour or character except a faint hint of old, almost tasteless lemon rind rubbed briefly with pine needles. The feel, at first soft and smooth becomes rough, dry and unpleasant, leaving an unpleasant, vague aftertaste.

A - Deep amber color, off-white dense, but thin head.
S - Disappointing and thin.
T - Tastes very similar to the little sumptin' sumptin', but without the more overt fruit notes. Shallow taste.
M - Mild carbonation, and very light mouthfeel. Easy to drink, but not unique in terms of mouthfeel.
O - Fitting with lighter beer categories. Not unique in characteristics and aroma. Lacking in complexity.

a - most people have said this was a clear yellow but the one I just poured is a hazy apricot color. 1 finger white head that dissipates quickly. Good lacing. Hopefully this isn't a sign that the beer is old :/
s - apple juice with a little bit of hops
t - alcohol taste with pepper and spice with a very bitter finish. Again, I think this beer has something wrong with it.
m - very smooth, not very carbonated
d - The taste was just terrible. I think I got a bad one. I may review it again, but this was a drain pour :(

This beer tastes a lot like Colt45 except with a bunch of hops added. Seriously. Not what I was expecting. It pours a much richer copper hue than you'd find in a Pils, but the look does not suggest Malt Liquor. The nose is heavy with a grainy, husky sweetness; the same can be said of the taste. There is also a good deal of alcohol taste and some black peppery notes on the finish. The feel is not crisp. Overall I dislike this beer quite a bit. After half aglass, I feel like this tastes more like a Euro Strong Lager than Malt Liquor, but still, isn't ESL the AML of Europe?

Deep gold with a single finger white head.
Bready, nutty malts dominate, with some lemon and spicy hop notes popping up.
Sweet. Too sweet for a pils. Lots of bready malt, though, with some spicy hops.
Heavy for the style, even with high carbonation.
This is not a good example of a Czech style pils. Far too sweet, and the hops aren't snappy enough for me. Maybe it's an old bottle, I can never tell if it's not a calendar date. So that's on me. Otherwise, the brown bottle can't save this one, may I please have an Urquell?

I know I may be in the minority here. But, I have had Czech Style Pilsners in Europe and this was not anything like them. I could have gotten a bad batch, but this beer was just plain awful! It was more malt than hops and had a thickness that does not typify a Czech Pilsner to me. It was not clean and pretty low carbonation. The smell was sweet and did not have that nice sharpness that typify a Pilsner. I had a friend concur just to make sure, neither of us had had this one before but it was not remotely a good tasting beer. I rarely do this but I could not get through this one it tasted so bad. It was like a really cheaply made grain dominant beer with a large amount of malt. If they were trying to make a Czech style Pilsner, this is not one. If I can talk myself into trying this one again I will give it another chance. But, this particular lot was really bad.

Pale copper with minimal head of tight, spritzy bubbles.
Smell was yeasty and unimpressive.
Taste was a bitter, yeasty/papery mess. Again, unimpressed.
Mouthfeel was sharp, and the bitterness destroyed my tastebuds for the evening, while only having one bottle. Was this a Stone recipe?
Drink again? Hell no. I look to pilsners for refreshment, but this was so far from hitting the mark it's not even funny.

I don't think I would like this beer even if it didn't say czech pilsner on the label. Not only does it not taste like a czech pils, it just doesn't taste good.
Pours nicely enough with a great rich golden color. No head, but this is okay. Aroma is like wet cardboard. I do get a nice saaz hop aroma past the wet cardboard.
A good czech pils to me should be dry and crisp and I find this beer to be overly sweet and the opposite of dry. It's really quite cloying and the flavor follows the aroma.
In essence the beer does have characteristics of a czech pils, bit it is poorly executed.

Bottle. Tinny, rusty flavour, bit of saaz and grainy malts, not much else though, short finish. I really wasn't a fan of Lagunitas, perhaps their beers are better on tap, i don't know, but all the bottled version i had while in the US were a little underwhelming. Dissapointing.
